  1. Just looking at the youtube one, but is there something funny with the aspect ratio there? I'm sure your wheels weren't circular the way I was seeing it!
  2. What do you mean by that? Do you mean your brake lever hits your middle finger knuckle if there is to much draw? If that is the case you could move the lever further up the bars, should be more comfortable and you ought to get more leverage on it i.e. more power... might make your life easier in general if you don't have to have the brake so tight for setting up as well.

    Simpsonize Me!

Alright this is all well and good but can we stop putting them as avatars please?! Please think of the TF members who don't ever read the names and just identify people by their picture...
  4. Wierd, mine bled loads, and for a few days. Even my little ankle scratches always bleed loads, the inside bits of my riding trainers have permanent red areas on them! Don't know why people are different... I am quite veiny, could that be related? So Krisboats and HASM shoe, would you consider yourselves veiny? And yeah, I think the trials-forum phrase we are after is bits of flesh left on pedals *** EDIT: Can everyone stop changing their avatars to the simpson thing?! I had convinced myself that mr Shoe was actually Tomm and was looking for Tomm's post...
  5. Fraid I have to agree on the editing, the B&W slomo repeat got annoying on about the 3rd instance and stayed annoying for the rest of the vid! Not sure about the long black space either... Not my kind of riding at all but at least he looked happy when he made the side hop at the end

    Front Vee

This topic might be helpful to you, I was asking about vee pads too. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=102958 I've bought the Salmon ones but I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. I think when you buy the brake on tarty or anywhere else you just get the arms, hence why levers and cables are available separately. Can't see brake cables on Tarty actually... maybe I'm wrong...
  7. I went to horizontal dropouts a few months ago after having vertical for ages. They're not really that hard to set up, if you have a new chain it might be annoying because my wheel moved back a bit as the chain stretched to keep it tight, which meant I had to move my brake pads, but that's not really the end of the world... I do like not having a dropout to land on, as I broke a few of those before. I have landed on my chain tug a bit when trying to side hop and it bent, but still works. Think I should have cut the end off it though as it was much longer than needed, then it wouldn't have stuck out so much. Oh and I think my wheel has moved on impacts a lot less than it used to with vertical.
  8. Worrrrrd. http://img265.imageshack.us/my.php?image=iololeftsidesk9.jpg See also this thread for custom type short steel frames http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....p;#entry1328475 More short stock frames: Giant Team Trials (2nd hand), Echo Pure 04 (2nd hand), in fact for the most part, just buy a frame that you know from 3 years ago! Or a Base cos they're cheap or a custom cos you can make it perfect for you. Back to Leesons, I would ask someone who has one or just phone mr. Leeson to find out how long it takes...
  9. That sounds like really sound advice! And Ash, don't ever let me hear you blaspheme like that again! I've had bikes stolen twice but thankfully neither was my trials bike. First was really upsetting, I had been building it up gradually over a couple of years, had mostly quality parts in all amazing colours and stuff, left it chained up somewhere in Margate (mistake) and it was gone when I came back. The second bike wasn't too precious as I had got it off eBay to replace the above, was an alright ish dirt jumper someone had put together. Left it chained up again, in Southampton (mistake) despite being with a much bigger lock and only for a few minutes! But I got a much nicer Specialized P2 after that cos I got insurance sorted after the first time. But on the whole there are only a very few things in life that would spur me to violence, and meeting someone who had stolen my bike would be one of them. EDIT: to answer the question, what did I do about it, I told the police. They took the details but surprise surprise nothing happened. I gave the details to some bike shops as well cos apparently they sometimes get people trying to sell stolen bikes to them. So maybe that will be useful advice to someone.
  10. Just been lovingly guided to this video via the 'Riders that deserve it thread' in chit-chat. Made me very happy cos I'd seen and worshipped some other Boon videos when I started riding (before I was on this forum) but didn't know there were more. Firstly, what an awesome video, it gets bumped for having such quality riding. And secondly, I am a bit devastated that my genious plan of deathgrip sidehops that I was working on has already been done! Rough with the smooth I guess
  11. There must be riding there cos I've seen a video made there once upon a time... but more to the point when you go, take pictures of what you find and put it in the Locations wiki
  12. I don't mind the scars, but when I did mine I missed a whole summer's worth of beach and swimming in the sea! Now that is a serious matter. And no riding for a few weeks too, they just didn't want to close up... I think it would actually be alright now I have V8s instead of the onza cage things I had, they seem to jab rather than slice! Still hurts and gets blood everywhere though, so pads it is. btw Inur yours are the most horrific looking. Although Krisboats gets mank points also.
  13. Cheers for that, it's magic! Although I found out you actually have to type youtube not yt... but got you me there anyways
  14. Nice video. That looks like a really nice place to ride. I still have such a long way to go with my skatepark riding! (on my stock not a bmx) Maybe I should poke my head into NMC more often...
  15. Practise, watch better riders than you, and watch videos. But I think, most importantly, don't get bogged down by it if you're struggling. Take some time to work on some other moves and come back to it. Side hops are obviously a really useful thing to be good at but don't neglect everything else. Just keeping on at the same thing can take its toll on your motivation as well...
  16. Have you seen this topic, somebody selling a complete Pashley http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=102187 Or, Base TA26 frames are very cheap on Tartybikes, and are pretty good if you're thinking short.
  17. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=9591 Have saved me many many times since I got them! I'm pretty sure once I might have even broken my shin bone in a skatepark if I hadn't had those on.
  18. Yeah that wasn't bad. Don't feel the need to add millions of side hops by the way! Your bunny hop up something or other was pretty smooth. And just so that I know, how DO you embed a video?!
  19. Disagreed with IMMENSELY by me. Hard tyres = good! At least, good for rolling, spinning and not getting punctures. And not feeling like you're riding on cushions...
  20. 'Riding' a Koxx is always quite funny (to begin with at least) but that can't be it if they're French can it. Iolo is the middle name of the guy who makes them, for anyone who didn't know already. Think that's about all the wisdom I can impart here!
  21. This topic is absolutely savage. Don't believe Partz's story, he's probably just a sicko. So anyway here are my healed (ish) shin scars: And a picture of my fit ankles. One side freshly re-done and the other one just scarred from relentless crankle scrapage.
  22. Bump! Everyone add their towns. With pictures! And can someone with power make it all work properly? (A)

    Kd Vid! 3:46

You have skills. I was going to say that it would be better to see some more moves other than ups and gaps, there were a couple of spinny drops at the end though so you may be forgiven. More of that and more variety please! And find some longer lines too.
  24. You have recieved a new feedback. Below are details concerning the new feedback. Type: Good Rating SummaryGood communcation, everything went fine. Given By: Tommy d You were the: Buyer Date: 1186486772
  25. Come on, use a calculator! 20 divided by 18 = 1.1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 18 divided by 1.1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 = 16.2 so 16t would be closest.
