Yeah, can't really put my finger on why but I enjoyed that, nice one.

There's a load of spots (and riders) in various towns on the coast in Kent. Ramsgate, Herne Bay, Folkestone are all great and there's loads more. That appears to be many miles away from your destinations so far but I thought I'd slip it in just in case. I think our uni term will finish around the 15th so me and Gilly should be around to show your a good time. Ask more if you might actually come over this way...

Switzerland Squeakers? I think that's when you're up on the front wheel and you take your foot off the pedal, and use it to push on the front tyre to make the bike roll back, still up on the front wheel. Can I do it? No!

Looks like fun, good riding, little bit more riding to random stuff ratio would be good though...

That was actually amazing. Truly quality riding. I'm glad it was too, cos I would have been pretty annoyed if I waited 87mb and it was boring! I would mention the helmet thing, but that would be hypocracy cos I rode trials for 3 years without one... Anyways, that's a keeper but go make a real vid. EDIT: Just watched it again and it was still magic, so here comes more praise. It's so good to see someone doing what I consider really good and interesting riding on something long and low as hell. Gives trials a bit more unity, rather than 'you can only ride interestingly on something short with a seat' and 'you can only go big on something ultra long and low'. (Doesn't mean I'm going longer than 1040 though!)

Who said anything about side hops? (That isn't me, it's a gentleman named Clem) EDIT: Haha cheeky. Nothing like a bit of linguistic accuracy

I hope not!

My general rule for any 2nd hand bike stuff is something along the lines of: If it's averagely worn/scratched/used then RRP divided by 3. If it's in good condish, then RRP divided by 2.

I'd say it's a pretty good place to start. If you're starting from scratch then buying a cheap new full build like that is a good plan, it won't be top spec but at least nothing will be nackered and you can start riding something fairly good. Presumably you're after something fairly long and good for big ups/gaps as opposed to the short flicky variety of trials bike... (cos that's what the phase appears to be) I wouldn't worry about the exact spec, just upgrade each part as you need to/when it breaks.

Took me ages to get it, I've probably still got more to improve, but it comes eventually. Just... try and turn?! Maybe not the most helpful advice but that's what I do...

This topic is far more entertaining than I was expecting! ummm... Tommy d --> dym Tom? as in I'm thick or mom tyd? as in a mother tied up... sorry I don't think my name is up to the task!

iTunes... shudder... I think I have about 14gb in my music partition, lots of which is legal... and it's all for educational reasons, honest!

I agree. Except you don't have to grind to make rim brakes rule... So anyway I would say keep the disc hub because it just gives you more options in the long term.

Have you ever seen any good street riders?!
-
I know what you mean. I feel the same but each to their own I guess...

Haha golden ticket would definitely add a touch of class. It's good anyway though. Except I have a bit of a problem with it for myself, a moral dilemma even! If I won, I would have a really great bike built up... but I wouldn't want it. Bascially, Tarty don't stock half the stuff that my perfect bike would incorporate. That's not to say that they are a rubbish shop, on the contrary, it's just that stuff like EA70s, saddles, EX721s, 60a tyres and so on presumably wouldn't sell in large volume to most trials riders, so it doesn't make sense for them to sell them. (and yes, their only frame I like is also their cheapest...) Although I definitely consider myself a trials rider. So anyway, I would either end up cannibalising the bike and combining it with what I already have, and then be left with a load of parts to sell, or I could just sell the whole bike and probably not have to get a job next summer! However both of these options kind of seem against the spirit of the competition. I'd feel guilty. The other option is that I could get from the raffle a really nice second bike and start doing competitions (and get good at natural). Except no way do I have space to keep another (fourth!) bicycle, nor do I have time or money to start going to comps. So I guess I'm saying please hold another raffle in a few years time when I'm (hopefully) out of uni and in a well-paid job where I can take days off! By the way I hope nobody thinks I am trying to complain, because it is such a good idea. But feel free to give me moral advice on my dilemma! EDIT: Ironically, if I buy a pair of Tarty Raffle Grips, they will be for my DJ/DH bike cos the trials bike has to have Ritchey foam...

Had a bit of a double take reading that! I'll watch the video now... Sorry about that. Anyway, fair play cos that was some mighty good riding! Might have to watch that again

Riding was not half bad, especially for that time. After a month and a half I was nowhere near that level. I didn't get why we got the shot of the guy drinking from a can... Perhaps overall I would say focus more on the riding, and as you get better you'll have more riding to focus on! Nice work

Works for me! haha you made me laugh, I'm easily pleased...

Too right that is a scar and half! Such a shame about the whole thing though. Just hope when it's healed it's healed properly and you can get back to what you love!

I cannae get that link to work

To me the music didn't quite seem appropriate for a sunny day riding trials in the park... At the start I thought every single clip was going to be a drop off but towards the end there were some other moves too which was nice.

T'is true. Impressive riding though!

I think it's quite old but good riding, I loved watching Morley when I first started finding videos on t'internet.
