I got a decent ride on mine today doing some shows. Love how easy it goes to front with a short stem! Really digging your build although I still think I prefer the horizontal dropouts

Very nice, Craig! Looks a lot cleaner than mine I think. (Newer parts maybe?) I've made some changes to mine. Put the Marino forks on, much steeper stem and plan on swapping out the saddle for something more along the lines of yours. Oh, and this deserves its own topic!

So the older piston is longer, fits the magura spring and has two O rings. The new piston is shorter, two O rings and what looks like a separate set of wipers. Are there any advantages to be had with the shorter piston? Would more fluid be in the brake with the shorter version? Minimal amounts I'm sure.. Anyone had any experience with both to compare?

Sounds like you're living the dream! Can I ask what you're doing for work out there? Also, old or newly designed Nomad? I'm yet to be won over by the new one. The suspension curve sounds like its more my bag but the looks just don't do it for me.

Wasn't sure what the 100 meant. Then I stopped being dense. Dropping the front wheel onto a rail at that angle... I'd poop my pants. Liked the wee Duncan Shaw copied by Rosey Mc copied by Benny T line. Chucked that right into front with no flick required to get it into FNM.

Sake. Whats the point of doing it up if you're not going to build it? I command you at once to start looking for retro parts! I have an El gato and some 04s.....
