That's really nice! Perfect chain length? Does 18:15 equal 380mm?

What have you noticed in terms of the quality of Hopes, Mark? Bearings or something?

Takes advice, does small drop, rim explodes, dies. Damn you Westlaaaaake! Anyone know if Spank accept feedback on their products? Might be worth giving them a shout and showing them your picture? Product advancement and all that jazz.

Anyone messed around with their geometry?

I guess he'll only be giving the corporate to the bone response. "We don't make it so you cant do it". That's a good question on the chain ring. I know there's a 3mm and a 6mm offset SRAM direct fit chain rings but I run a normal 4 bolt straight as a die Renthal ring on a GXP spider. I played about with BB spacers to try and get it as close to the chain stay as possible. When my bikes in the work stand and I'm turning the pedals with my hand, as you go towards first gear, you can feel the resistance building with the chain with it being at such an angle. Despite all that, the derailleur handles it, I run a narrow wide chain ring and never had any major issues with my set up. Its just not as ideal as id like it. -

I'm on a boost frame (148) with 142 Chris King rear hub. You can buy spacer kits off ebay for buttons. It spaces either side of the hub and the disc rotor. The chain line is really bad in the lighter gears but F it. Makes it kinda fiddly when puting the rear wheel in/out for any reason... I liken it to fitting an IS calliper to an IS frame. Trials Worthy DH or Heavy Duty Rear Tyre Ideas - 26" x 2.2

The High Roller in 2.35 is quite a small tyre. Its the side knobs that'll f**k you up. That's why I suggested the Minion as the side knobs aren't as pokey. If you're neat, you could just trim the side knobs off of a tyre? Not like you're going to be cornering on the Zero very much. -
I know its Ali's video but glad everyone's enjoying it.

Hmm, does the holy roller come in two sizes? I have holy rollers and yea, they're pretty big for their size...but I might have a 2.4 version? Dunno. What rim are you using? -

I think your best bet would be a 2.35 Maxxis Minion...In my Opinion. Cant say I know of any DH tyres in 2.2 -
Final round of Scottish series - Bob Macgregors

What’s this? I’ve noticed a shift! More seated trials bikes at comps these days than pure trials bikes! (Maybe not) -

For the past few years, Shipley has been used as the closing round for the series. So its usually later in the year for the National Trials Cup to be holding a comp there. I'm not sure what the Tyke Trial folks do, or what they're all about but those guys might hold one there too? For better or worse, it seems like trials in the UK is leaning more towards more of a Euro style set up of man made sections with numerous "Academy" locations being used. "Better", because its not a exposed hill side. "Worse" because, as Ali and Mark mention, you don't get that undulating ground and you don't develop that bike control you need to ride these places. What you will learn however, is how to Up to back from a static hook. So it almost turns into, who can go the biggest, instead of who is the best bike handler. I'm not having a moan btw. Im all for any type of venue, and enjoy riding places like Radical etc..

Call that a trials video?? It didn't even have a story! -
Dob stuff was so frickin light! Chris, the boy who was studying at St Andrews was importing it. I picked up a couple of sets of forks. Mine lasted a day and my mate James' lasted no days as he cut the steerer an inch too short
