Hard to say really, it was such a long time ago, but I think it lasted most of a summer; I remember being quite pleased with not having to go to school! I don't remember the affects of it being that great, just tiredness. But whether that means I didn't have a particularly bad case, or that I just cant remember I dont know. Sorry I couldnt have been of more help dude!

Had it as a kid, must have been about 7 or 8 years old. I don't really remember much about it, apart from having lots of time off school, and it certainly had no further affects on me after I recovered.

No worries, pm me your email and I'll have a look at what I've got at home and email it to you in the morning.

Pedals ? Anyone Out There Know Of Any Decent Lightweight Pedals?
Elliot replied to Ladd's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Hognesiums (£45) same as wellgo mg1 pedals (£23). buy em here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wellgo-MG-1-MG1-Magn...7QQcmdZViewItem mine arrived within a couple of weeks brand new, 376g and less than £25. They are soft though, first ride ripped out a pin, but that the only one that has come out so far. I also started a thread on the pedals: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....c=97382&hl= -
I recon some 500mm discs would go great on that, and I recon you should go seatless too, would help with the tucks. Edit: Jeez how old is this topic?

Bigman nearly talked me into going to v's a while ago in a thread, he recommended: Dewhore arms: £10 (CRC) Odessey Linear Slick Cable: £6 (Pijn) SD7 lever: £11 (Tarty) Trials vee pads: From £15 - £22 Budget setup Total (Minus adapters, Most expensive pads): £49 Booster for above setup: Echo Vee Booster £20 (Tarty) So that setup with booster comes in at £69 (And all new parts!)

dunno if you've seen the fresh products lever or the rb designs levers, but they're both way cool (old style maggie though). Have a butchers: http://freshproducts.co.uk/Brake%20Levers.html http://www.rbdesign.sk/en/en_index.htm e.

It is pretty dumb, but there is not a lot you can do about it, unless your ready to start a petition saying that bike shagging is completely accepted and condoned by the bike riding community and infact a common past time of many bike riders. Hell, I’d sign it.

Hey all, Anyone know Joe and could have a word? Me and a number of other people bought some gear and have yet to recieve it. I only bought a brake, but I know the guy that bought the frame and forks has heard nothing from him, and both he and I paid on the 17th of last month. I know Joe's got some problems at the moment (re his thread on legal advice) and I am sorry to be asking in this way, but he is not responding to pm's or texts and it is his responcibility as a seller not to mess people around. thanks to any who can help, I just hope we can get this sorted without slagging matches or anything unnecessary. ta, e.

you might be able to get away with filling it, just make sure you check that it is only the drive and non-drive side spacers and the axle that will need filling; I dont think you can file down a rotor body, because you'll be filling away the lockring thread. Check how much adjustment you have in your brakes to potenitaly account for the rim being out of alignement and check how long your spokes are too in case you do need to dish the wheel. its only 5mm but it sounds like it could be a bit of a mission!

comes down to that I think. I completely agree that some pictures of wimen look unreal and so not appealing, but I think they would look spanking gorgeous if you saw them ordering a pint of speckled hen at your local.

Try searching dude: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....&hl=welding http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....&hl=welding http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....&hl=welding etc, etc, etc.

Is there a special reason that I am missing that makes a lizardskin protector useful when its on a seatpost?

Careful with that dude, that sound you hear might be the spokes settling, which is a good thing. When you do up the nipples you also twist the spokes. The sound you hear is the spokes un-twisting and seating themselves better, and does not necessarily mean that you need to tighten your spokes more. When you build a wheel and are tightening the spokes you should periodically lie the wheel on its side, with the axle on the ground and push down fairly firmly. Work your way round your wheel with your hands opposite one another and you will hear the spokes untwisting themselves, then flip the wheel over and do it on the other side. Do this periodically and when you’ve finished because it sometimes takes the wheel slightly out of alignment. As to tightness, really it just comes with experience, but tight is not good, it puts too much pressure on the rim around the spoke hole which can start to crack and fail. Its hard to exmplain but just tighten it to a comfortable tightness where your not putting that much force into the nipple, and do this gradually working your way round the wheel because tightening nipples on one side will tension spokes on the opposite side. dunno about that, Ferrari seemed so all over the race by the end, I have a feeling that they will get back to being insumountable now that the rule changes have settled down a bit. It might juest be a few years until Hamilton gets his chance again.
