  1. a bmxer.....riding 24".....doing trials....... what a quality mix! checked out your other vids aswell, some off the ones ive enjoyed most. when pitched like that its art. well edited aswell.
  2. ahhhh it hurts to watch you nailing stuff like that at 13. only wish i was that good when i was that age. even now it would be good!!! stick at it mate, you will be the don!!
  3. The problem i had with a wider rim on my ta26 was that with a larger tyre, it would rub on the frame. also running maggies was such a tight fit. d521's are solid, best rims ive ever had
  4. had the same problem with my guff shimano one. get yourself a hope if you can afford it. i've had mine nearly 2 years and not a single problem with it! shes a beauty!
  5. went to pedal hop and my chain decided to jam, went flying over my bars. felt abit of an arse as everyone was like "how the hell you do that?!"
  6. get some better gloves as other people have said is a good option, i've found riding gloveless is good for abit but then end up getting sweaty palms, which mean loosing grip. not good when on a large drop off!! after a while you will find your calluses will completely ware over with a constant layer of thicker skin. only remedy i have found is ride more!!
  7. funny you should say that, just been out for a quick blitz on my bike a second ago, hit a wall trying a hop and have just snapped one of the bolts. quite annoying!! need to get myself a new bash guard as the one i have doesn't fit my cranks also i have found when you do get it wrong it demolishes the wall quite alot more than just a bash guard, this does absoloultly no favours for the trial riders - authorities relationship....
  8. did a search for this but was unsuccessful in finding any results. probably not using it right.. the question is though. this bad boy frame comes standard with a bash plate as you all know but do you actually use it? i personally do. I quite like the fact of using a bash plate on a stock bike. seems different somehow, but does feel like i'm cheating sometimes. lets discuss...
  9. yer but no but yer but no but my mate one had a shovel!! longest sentance in the world! sorry mate couldnt understand a word of it. sort it out
  10. alrite bro! well if im around the area and get validated ill give you a post.... same if your around bristol!... laters
  11. in that case then mate, may i suggest a base ta26. i have one and its more like a "real" bike than a totally trials specific frame. they are cheap and im really happy with mine. its good for street or trials and is very flickable. you can buy it as a complete build form this site but it doesnt have the best set up in world. check this site out, see what you think... linkage hope i was off some assistance
  12. noted. cheers for the tips guys peace
  13. whilst we are on the subject of chain tensioner reviews. thought id write a quick one about the DMR Sts chain tension. the price is anywhere from £15.99 - about £20 and is attached to the rear mech hanger. As it runs on a wheel rather than a cog so it wont work if your chain is overly thick which can be quite anoying. also having problems keeping the tension once it is there. tried all sorts of different things i.e locktite but the mech hanger bolt always seems to come loose and therefore loosing the tension in my chain. apart from those two problems the build quality of the unit is pretty solid as you would expect from dmr and looks like it will last a while. its suffered 2 or 3 direct hits on a wall and has not even slightly bent it. pretty impressed as my mech would have probably folded in half first time. if there was a way to keep bolt tight i would recomend this unit all the way... hope this helps someone out there, also anyone got any other ideas to keep the mech hanger bolt tight?
  14. my base, up and running. quite often change between normal seat (mmm comfort) and my little trials seet
  15. cheers for the reply mate. dont mean to sound stupid but what is the validation system all about? just to filter out the rubbish?
  16. alright guys and gals. im new to the forum, thought id take the time to introduce myself and hopefully learn the ropes. been riding on and off for a few years, really just started to get back into it and thought id check out what the scene is like. got my bike back up and running. got a base ta26 with a mixture of different bits. cool bike, good fun to ride. been checking out all the vids and am well impressed with the skill level of people on the forum. ride around the bristol area so if anyone wants to meet up give me shout. not to good at the moment but hopefully will get better. hope to chat some peeps soon. peace
