Thanks for the suggestions Philking, we may possibly make a 2 bolt booster in the future but the four bolt boosters seem to be more popular. We still have about 15 boosters that are yet to be anodized, we can get them anodized in pretty much any colour, i was thinking it would be good to get some of them anodized silver as this seems a popular choice of colour for riders. Any suggestions as to other colours they could be anodized are welcome. Cheers Dan

Am I The Only Person Who Gets Stiff Elbows ?
Dan-Gadd replied to $IL3NT.'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Haha . I often get back aches after i have been riding for a while, i usually put deep heat on it but it seems the best way to get rid of it is to not ride for a while . I would take ashby-trials advice and not ride for a while, also give the cod liver oils a try. -
Sorry mate can't do that, if i did everyone would want one for 15 quid.

Thanks for that pick bikestuff, never seen a picture of the internals. I thought they were the same as the acs loose-ball bearings, didn't realise they came with caged bearings. Looks like they are much better made than i thought. Tensile
-
I use a tensile, and for 35 quid it's good value for money considering it has 60 ep's. However if you can afford it i would go for the ENO as it has fully sealed bearings and if you have any problems with it it is most likely that you can get it fixed. My tensile has recently skipped a few times, but i don't want to take it apart because it doesn't have sealed bearings. Don't know much about the try-all but the ENO is definatley the best made freewheel out there . Dan

Sorry about that guys. The picture was too big to be posted on trials-forum so i had to do a quick update on the website. You should find the new picture at the bottom of the booster page.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! We hope to expand our range of products and would be looking in to making parts such as: lever blades, brake clamps and possibly cranks. We also aim to get a professional website soon. Just for you Philking i have another picture , it was meant to come up in this post, i'll try again . Dan

Whooo very tasty, what forks are you using? Cheers Dan

Thanks for the helpfull comments guys. So long as your brake mount spacing is within the width of the booster holes it should fit. However i'm not 100% sure that it would fit a mod that has a 48mm wide rim (echo) and a 2.7" wide tyre (monty) as this is the widest combination possible (i think). I'll try and get some more pictures up tomorrow. Were hoping to change the design of the bashring soon, the on the site was just produced to check that that the diameter of the hole was correct. Dan

Hi there, Basically my Dad owns an engineering business (G&H Precision Engineering) and thought it would be a good idea to manufacture some trials components. We felt that a lot of the boosters currently available were badly finished and overpriced considering the their quality. We are hoping to manufacture a whole range of trials components in the future but the only component that we have currently finished developing is the brake booster. Take a look at http://www.freewebs.com/cylocomponents, if you have any questions please e-mail me on the address provided on the site. Cheers, Dan

Yea my mate has a viz rim, he seems pretty pleased with it. It's taken some abuse and he has had it for quite a while now, although it is starting to show a bit. www.trials-uk.co.uk sell them. Personally i would go for the try-all 06 rim, as all the try-all/koxx stuff i have seen looks flawless. Dan

I agree with Boris on this, for a first video thats good . Although the intro is a bit too Craig lee Scott for my liking considering the music is the same. Nevertheless keep up the good work. Dan

Hi guys, nearly every new member seems to have posted a topic introducing themselves and as i haven't said much about about myself i thought i would give it a shot . I live in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. The best place to ride around here seems to be Southampton, i go there quite a lot with my mates that ride but am yet to go on any large group rides. I have been riding for about 4 months now, i have learned nearly all of the basics and am starting to try more advanced stuff. I could already pedal-kick before i started trials as i learned on my mates 20" Echo, this helped me improve a lot quicker. I ride a 2005 onza t-pro that is pretty much standard, the only parts i have changed are the freewheel ( Tensile) and the Bottom bracket (Neco 127.5). I also have a 2004 Kona scab that i mostly use for general riding as trials is a lot easier on the onza So yea i'm looking forward to meeting new people, going on group rides and hopefully posting a video up someday. Cheers for the help guys . I must admit middleburn cranks are very tasty but quite a bit over budget , i'll most probably end up with the monty x-lites. Dan

Hi there, Basically im looking to get some new square taper taper cranks in the near future for my t pro as my musclemans don't look like they have much life left in them. They need to be freewheel compatible and i am willing to spend up to 80 quid. Any suggestions most appreciated. Dan

Sorry to go out of topic nigel but are you allowed that 'tartybikes' web adress in your signature considering they sell stuff? Just i wanted to put a web adress to in my signature to a shop that sells stuff but am not sure about it. Any help appreciated Dan

nice one mate, you look bloody good for 1 year and 3 months. All the lines you done looked smooth aswell. Look forward to vid 2 Dan

If you can afford it i would get an isis as all of the higher end cranks are made with isis fittings. I use square taper simply because they are cheaper, but if you do get an square taper don't get the onza one because when i had one the axel bent easily and when i took it out it had pretty much fallen apart i use one of the neco square tapers and it seems to be pretty good so far. I think the best square tapers are neco's and shimanos. Dan

I have one and im more than pleased with it, it's a dream to ride very good starting/intermediate bike. The frame seems to be strong and well made as do most of the components, the only problem i have had with mine is the ACS freewheel that didn't last long. I got mine of ebay for 220 quid mint condition, there allways seems to be some going on there for a good price so check it out. Get one Dan
-
These are the only differences i can think of: The t-pro has better rims (t-pro hog rims, t-bird reggie's) The t-pro has better/stronger cranks The t-pro has better tyres (creepy crawlers) The t-pro has shin dig platform pedals, the t-bird has onza cage pedals I'm afraid that both come with ACS claws freewheels Dan

I have not used them myself but i would think the zoo pads would be good for a smooth rim as they are a soft compound. I dont know how they would peform in the wet but all pads will be worse in the wet especially if you dont have a grind. Also tartybikes reccomend them for use with a smooth rim. I use the standard kool stops myself but the only reason they work is because i have massive amounts of tar on my rims i only ride in the dry but i do remember once in the wet they were completely useless Hope this helps Dan

I Couldn't Resist Sawing The Seatpost Off !
Dan-Gadd replied to $IL3NT.'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Yea must admit it does look better But surley doing that will have some effect on the strength of the frame ? Dan -
My mate uses the koxx bloxx brown pads on his grind they work awsome !! Dan
