  1. You must have lost something in translation………….. I received ZM3’s only yesterday. They have good geometry; have proved to be reliable and good value for money. A ZM3 has already won a National competition, in the right hands they are as good as any other similar Mod.
  2. Before you waste your money Stan I recommend you get some facts. I've been to more koxx days than any one else in the U.K. - in the comp UCI and BIU licences have always been accepted. That is why the question "Federation" is included in the entry form. After the scandal in Sweden I can't imagine that Vincent has a BIU licence and looking back at his comments Benito may not have one. May be things have changed, but you need to ask those running the comp that question. Fred.

  5. As distributor for the U.K. I'm expecting my 1st shipment of shoes and clothing from Trident any moment now. Expect to see trident products available from many U.K. trials stores and worn by some key U.K. riders. Trident are a go ahead company with many diverse products on the drawing board. Their current range can be viewed here; TRIDENT Fred.

Good point. As with complete bikes, the "parcel" is cheaper than if purchased as spares, a Kit must represent better value than buying individual items. I agree it should include a bottom bracket. I'll work on it. Fred.

Ref. the above; Small amounts of product from all manufacturers always find their way "through the back door" via friends in the trade in other countries etc. The ZHI factory is committed to keeping the activity to a minimum, as they wish to present a professional view to the U.K. retailers that market their products. International distributors are under strict instructions not to intrude on their fellow distributors trading areas - or loose their concession. ZHI products have initially been heavily copied in China, some of the copies are of inferior quality and should be avoided, they have already cropped up in the U.K. If your going to purchase ZHI/Bionic I strongly suggest you buy from an authorised source, even if only to enjoy warranty.

    Worlds 2008

The comments below, made in a previous post may have been overlooked; The Biketrial Federations schedule for 2008 will be decided at our Annual meeting, late November. There will be important changes, and some goals. For 2008 2 series will be run; UCI rules series, recognised by British Cycling. B.C. will use the results to select the UCI World Championship team. The final name for the series is yet to be decided. Younger riders as well as the older ones will be catered for, with classes running in step with the Youth games and UCI World championships. The series results will not be applied to World Cup events, only the Worlds. A “BIU” rules series, similar to this year. The main aim for 08 is to utilise venues spread wider around the U.K. Expect a news post. I suppose it was inevitable that the running of the 07 Championships in the U.K. (coupled with interest in the cup series from U.K. riders), would result in increased attention in UCI events. If the BIU implement these obviously unpopular proposals I can see attendance at their WBC falling. Grantham is 100% correct in his comments - the social side of the BIU has been good in the past and will be missed if it falls apart. I for one would not support the adoption of the proposed rules for a National series that I was involved in - hope you get my point. Fred.

I don't agree with the proposed changes. There are specialists on both wheel sizes where will that leave them? I doubt very much if the industry will view the changes favorably. The format as it stands works. I for one would not want to run competitions to the proposed rules, I prefer the current ones. Fred

The frame shown in the full build is not available yet. The Bionic mod frame will be available in about 5 weeks, to be sold at the same price as the stock, in the region of £165 - £175. Lets see what the new fuel tax does to the cost of distribution.
