  1. Are you having more problems with your King, Rob?
  2. I get a bit of ache if I haven't ridden for a while but it soon goes after I'm used to riding again. I did get more back pain on my 07 echo pure than I do on my simtra - that's why I swapped frames. I think it's important to get the geo of your bike right for you so that you are as comfortable as possible when riding. If the pain doesn't go away soon I'd try adjusting your bars/stem for a start. A bit of muscle fatigue is normal if you are doing exersises (eg back hops) that you are not used to however if it causes anthing more than mild discomfort I'd strongly suggest ajdusting things to sort it out.

That's really sad. I only met him once or twice on group rides in Leicester. He seemed like a nice friendly guy. Like others have said it's hard to believe. John.
  4. I've got some brake spray, It's pretty good. If your brake performance is a bit poor then it is a good 'quick fix'. I've not put any on since re-grinding my rim though, there seeems to be no need. As for cost, it seems expensive but 1 can lasts for ages as you only apply a tiny bit.
  5. I did one comp earlier in the year (my first ever). I found that I just didn't have the stamina to ride over 20 sections and was failing on things I know I could do because I was too tired. I'm intending to start again after I've built up more fitness. Still it was a really great day out - I quit the comp and just went for a ride around with some guys I met there who weren't competing. My advise would be to go to a comp and have a look, then try to re-create some similar length sections and practice those. If like me you mainly ride street then stamina may be an issue.
  6. Cheers for the comments guys I'll try and get some better pics when I've had a bit more practice etc. Mainly the Uni and art college and the rail outside KFC. (loughborough) North of Leicester, south of Nottingham.
  7. A few pics from last Saturday. Nothing amazing, it's the first time I took the camera out. Comments welcome A few more: Rob headbuts a tree
  8. I don't think banning them will affect knife/sword crime. Banning hand guns has not reduced gun crime.
  9. Chicksands near Bedford is pretty good - more for Freeride than pure downhill but they've built some good stuff there. I'll have to get myself down there again soon!
  10. I'm tempted to come along (as I live in Leicester) but I've got loads of stuf I have to do so I doubt I can make it for 11. My mobile no. is 07956038389 if you wanna send me a text or post your number on here I can get in touch later in the day? Cheers, John
  11. I'll be along. I'll quite likley drive but anyone know if the trains are running? Cheers, John
  12. So, I'm not gonna be able to buy it till they re-stock the stores then. I wish I'd reserved it
  13. Climbing might be good to help with stamina. I had a go the other day and found it fun.
  14. I've never riden one, but I've heard they are pretty good. The're quite short and good for street, maybe not so good for 'pure' trials.
  15. Well I fitted the blue rim 'cause like Cam says my old Tryall rim was pretty battered. It's actually not such a fat rim - just looks it in the picture.
  16. Here's mine now with a blue rear rim. Still not finnished but it's as good as it'll get before Friday.
  17. I've still got my old T-rex frame (blue and silver) - I've not riden it for ages though. It's what I started on. If anyone wants it cheap, send me a pm.
  18. Ah thanks for the comments - the're appreciated. Cheers Cam, hope the weathers a bit better next time! I see what Basher means about too much blue, I've fitted a blue rear wheel and hub and have a blue wheel for the front - it maybe a bit much, but I had a set of blue rims spare that needed using. I'll post more pics when I get some. Cheers
  19. Another good looking Simtra! Two of my maggy bolts were too long so I did the same thing I agree with Banbury trials - mine dosent need a booster. Hope you like it as much as everyone else - I can't wait to get back out on mine this weekend!
  20. Thanks for the comments guys Hope we get some decent riding weather this weekend!
