  1. I can’t say I have, not sure why I didn’t think of that, I’ve seen your video about it too 🤦‍♂️ I’ll give it a go, thanks!
  2. I’ve got a pair of Hope gunsmoke floating rotors on my mountain bike, and they seem to be past it in terms of performance. I bought them secondhand and they looked fairly worn, I was a bit worried that they may be contaminated but I’ve persevered with them as the gunsmoke parts are hard to come by. I’ve serviced the brakes and put new pads in but nothing has changed, the brakes are as good as non existent. Is there anything I can do to bring these rotors back to life? I’ll change them over if I have to but I’d like to keep the gunsmoke parts on if possible.
  3. I have actually tried to contact them, got no response. I’m not after them urgently, Obviously with the current situation being the way it is I’m not expecting sticker printing to be a priority, I’ll try them again and see if they respond.
  4. Does anyone know of a decent graphics company that can print me a set of monty 221ti frame stickers? I’ve tried everywhere for a replacement set but considering the age of the frame I wasn’t surprised to find that nowhere stocks them anymore. Any help would be appreciated, just got hold of a ti but it’s a bit tatty and I’d love to get it looking new again with new stickers to match. Cheers!
  5. Nice work! Done a few builds like this myself. Its so rewarding bringing a tired looking bike back to life, not to mention an awful lot of work!
  6. Hey, recently bought a specialized Tricross sport disk for a bit of road riding, as the mountain bike feels too weighty for rolling around the streets on. I Picked up an Orange RX9 frameset and used all the specialized bits to build it, only thing is the wheels are a bit past it, and I fancy something a bit wider/more versatile so I’m not restricted to just paths and roads. Any pointers? This side of bikes is very foreign to me and I haven’t got a clue what’s good or not. Im after a decent set of wheels that don’t cost the earth, need to be disk compatible and fit 135x10 and 110x10 with QR axles. Any help would be great. Thanks!
  7. Hi all. I’m running a pair of mono mini’s on my orange and the performance is underwhelming. The pads in them are old and most likely past their best, so what’s the best pads to go for as an upgrade? I know mono minis aren’t the most powerful brakes ever but even a slight improvement will do until I can afford to upgrade the whole setup. Picture of my five for anyone who’s curious! Thanks.
  8. Thanks. I hadn’t heard of it at all until my friend got it, they don’t seem to be very common! Quite an odd geo even by today’s standards.
  9. Recently picked this up from a friend for a good price, fair to say it’s the polar opposite of what I’m used to riding. Only been out a couple of times on it but it already feels very easy to manoeuvre and throw around! The crazy high bb makes for an interesting feel but it’s something I can see myself getting used to.
  10. I’ll check that out, and yeah I think I’ll stick with 26" as it’s just a case of swapping the bits over to a new frame.
  11. I can’t see the picture for some reason! Not sure if it’s just me.
  12. Ah yeah that’s a good point, I hadn’t noticed that. I’ll give thoses sites a try and see what I find. And yeah I’d be interested, I’ll pm you. Thanks.
  13. Hey guys. A few months ago I wound up with a ‘09 Boardman pro. The frame is 20” and I’m only 5ft 6” so it’s a bit on the tall side for me. Ive been looking for a new frame but I can’t seem to find a great variety, and with the bike being 26” I’m struggling to find frames that aren’t 27.5”- does this matter? And would it be a case of just buying new rims and lacing them to my current hubs? Alternatively if anyone here has a 26” medium sized frame going (17-18”) then I’d be interested in doing a deal. Thanks!
