Gandalf the Yellow
well a while back there was a topic on giant's 07 prototypes. which were much more updated to their old skool seated framesets.prototype mod and stock frames:and stock built up and ridden by LXD.there were no geo provided. just browsing and found on the giant japanese website they have the production version. looks bit different to what we used to seeing, especially the seat tube/seatstays on the stock.geo: wb-1065, ha-72.2, +20mm bb, cs-385geo: wb-1000.5, ha-72, +50mm bb, cs-362shame it only seems to be available in japan....let us know what you think!steve
hugh_b
the 20" looks pretty cool, good find. Kinda reminds me of the old megamo's for some reason. -hugh
Greetings
The mod has been around for ages now, don't know about the stock.I really like the looks of the 20", geometry is standard which means it'll probably ride well.
Tony Harrison
26" looks a bit funny, and just a development of the previous Trials Team frame. Front three tubes look exactly the same as the old one.Silver frames at the top of the thread look good though...

SQuiT-man
The stock sounds ace to me.. great geo, shame the frame height's a bit larger than most modern frames.Mod looks wicked too. Wish they would produce them over here, giants always have great quality

Wish they would produce them over here, giants always have great qualityyer perfect geo for the new skool short bikes really, and from the looks of the tubing its looking quite light too!!giant are indeed very nice quality..the polished stock frame at the top is well nice, would have that instead of my pitbull anyday on looks aloneyer, i agree, the beefy hydroformed looking (tear drop shape?) downtube looks freakin beasty. dropouts look like it can snap though...very easy!steve Edited May 12, 2007 by StinkEE

Waynio
the blue and white ones are the "models" to be looking at. i spoke with Yoshi minder in Japan (who is R&D guy at giant and what he says and does sort of goes ahead, and its the blue/white ones that are in production)it is worth knowing that it is VERY unlikely that those bikes will end up on England ground unless someone can persuede giant UK to import them. again this was from a conversation with Yoshi's Minder. No country was willing to order quantities to sell in their country, they wished to see them 1st and then possibly consider buying some. most countries did not Wayne. Sonny Clarke
Lets start a petition and send it to Japan lol. Mod looks much better, all mods do . Does anyone have the actually price, maybe a Japanese website might have it lol. Hopefully under 500 quid.
Endohopper
... unlikely that those bikes will end up on England ground ...That's surprisingly short sighted for such an otherwise sensible and well established manufacturer . The U.K scene is one of the most active anyhere , and ANY trials product should be heavily marketed to cater for the U.K's needs / wants . Kinda a chicken and egg situation though , as no one will import 'em without being certain of sales , but no one's gonna buy 'em if they're scarce . Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Order them in from Japan, no biggie, probably be 600 quid cheaper given the prices of uk stuff, and that'll cover the tax charges if it is one of them things that they want you to pay like 100 quid to import for. craigjames
they're the 07 models, very unlikely to see the over here. there's quite a few models in the states and japan that giant uk/giant europe dont import. strange really... things like the trials bike (of which i think they both look great!) but also a comp version of the dh race bike. but hey as waynes already said, its to do with predicted sales and lots of money!
