JT!
Seing as though most poeple are monkey brained and can't put FS etc in front of their posts in forsale / wanted. Wouldn't it be a good idea to make post icons to you can tell them apart much easier? Then there wouldn't be the problem of putting FS etc infront of the title. Just so you get the idea. Like that but a bit more arty / destinctive. I know it woud take up a few post icons, as i doubt you can set different post icons for different sub-forums. But i don't think anyone would miss the ones that they replaced. I'm just getting tierd of seing titles that don't really follow the same pattern, so you can't just glance down and see which are for sale and wanted. And some titles such as 'helmet - look in' you have to go into the topic to see weather they are forsale or wanted. Then if people don't use a post icon you can just auto-mod their asses. Yey or ney? Davetrials say yey.

tomturd
If people are too lazy to type FS or WTD at the start of the topic title whats to say they will go out of their way to click a topic icon? EDIT: tis a good idea but I dont think it will solve the problem in the long run.. cant see people in 2 months time still using them once the novelty has worn off.. EDIT: tis a good idea but I dont think it will solve the problem in the long run.. cant see people in 2 months time still using them once the novelty has worn off.. It's not that they're too lazy, it's just that you get different variations. Eg. From present topic titles. Laptop For Sale F.s Onza T-lite-frame Only ::for Sale:: (for Sale) Ps2 Games Having a post icon would make them the same, then people could put what ever they like in their post title. I think people would use them. And i don't think i'd wear off. Still wouldn't be perfect system of corse. Feck it.. if someone wants to make up some icons ill sort it  worth a try.

Far too busy with uni at the moment (in particular an essay to hand in by wednesday I have no idea about) to play in photoshop.
ScotchDave
Why not make it compulsory in the sales section so that if it isn't selected it won't post?

skandy32
A couple of quickies from photoshop.... any good? = wanted = for sale problem though - uploading them to the TF puts that little tf sig in the corner, which in these teeny weeny pics practiacally covers it.... but you get the idea anyway... EDIT - heres a couple more.... the right size too >_< Edited December 5, 2005 by skandy32

Any chance of FS and WTD instead, if you could cram them in? Also need an OT and eBay. But looking good. Like the spherical look. It would have to be a single letter an emotion i think - but i'll keep trying and see what comes up.... Mark W
Yeah, this whole lack of descriptive titles pisses me off too, 'specially when you're on the forum homepage. I've made a point of changing any ones I notice so it says in the title exactly what it is, but it's hard to keep on top of all of them as I'm not in FS/WTD often... If anyone sees a non-properly titled thread, just Report it and someone can go sort it out. Other than that, if people actually just put "FS: <my product>", or whatever, it'd be waaaaaay easier. Of course, as it is, people think they'll get more hits if it's just "For sale" or what have you, so it's not going to happen...
JT!
If anyone sees a non-properly titled thread, just Report it and someone can go sort it out. It'd be a hell of a task to keep ontop of all the incorrectly labled topic titles. Nearly half of the titles in there at the moment are labled incroectly. Mark W
It'd be a hell of a task to keep ontop of all the incorrectly labled topic titles. Like I said  That's why I was saying report some of them. You don't specifically have to do them all, if you get me? But yeah, easiest solution is for people to just not be f**ktards, but think "Hmm, is it really that hard to put "For Sale" or "Wanted" down first?" and then do the right thing ;)
