fredrico
There was a post of a gear changer which went through something like three gears and did not go on the bars but on the frame and was quite small. Can someone help me out where can i get it form and how much etc. Cheers
Thom
i think your talking about this? If you are then they are made by jagwire and can be bought from trialsinshop , LBS might have some though as they aren't really a 'trials' product. I've also heard that you can make your own but i'm not to sure how.

djb
From that picture it looks like it's simply a barrel adjuster from a rear mech attached cleverly to one of the lugs. I'm guessing that black part pushes into the lug on the frame and is threaded so the barrel adjuster screw can be screwed in and out tightening/slackening the cable and therefore chang the gears. To make one yourself shouldn't be too hard but you would need something threaded that the barrel adjuster screw would fit into and that would also fit into the lug. Alternatively you may be able use the barrel adjuster already in the mech, the head of the cable that usually goes into the shifter would go directly into the end of the adjuster instead and the cable tightened in the usual way. Not sure if this would work since it may be difficult to get the mech perfectly set up, possibly worth a try though and it would be free.
