trial1966
I am thinking of getting a new frame but don't know if to get one with or without bashplate mounts. My bikes at the moment has a bashplate but wanted to know if there is much difference between them.

Hi Trial1966, You are best off getting one with bashplate mounts beacuse if you hop up to a large wall or something you could easily catch it wrong and therfore hit you frame onto the wall so it might break it. As for a bash ring same thing again you may smash it onto a foreign object and break it.

trial1966
I do comps with the ebtc and don't know if bashrings would be as good
AlexxRogers
Plates snap frames. Rings don't. Ring also gives you more clearance, I say go for a ring. Alex.
trial1966
But are rings good for balancing on?
AlexxRogers
But are rings good for balancing on? Shouldn't really have to balance on your ring, they're only there for mistakes, not for purposely mounting things. Alex.
