basher
Looks sexy, noticed though that it doesnt have horizontal dropouts, but they arnt showing the other side which will be one of the key features of the frame. Im guessing the tensioner bit hasnt been fine tuned yet. Also cant see the disk mount lasting long? and doesnt have maggy mounts. Hope they plan on doing a maggy version aswell. Greetings
Don't really like it, same with the 26" frame. They don't stand out at all.
Muel
Its exactly the same as a koxx.Completely different.I would hate it, no horizontal drop outs, and what's with the bloody post mounts?
JoNnY__Mc
Looks nice, should be interesting to see what the final design is like!
Waynio
post mount as in on the disc? if so IS (international standard) is being phased out and the NEw IS is going to be post mount.make it simple and easy to adjust brakes etc etc, setup time is quicker, less fiddly and much more user friendly.OBV for "current" IS on front forks there is a mount. BUT it uses post fitting on the top again for quick and easy installation.Hope, Magura and Avid (the latter 2 have been like this for years!!!!) it makes producing brakes alot easier.im not sure if the "Mono Trial" will do the same, but i would have hoped it would.Wayne. Zordon
I like the idea with vertical dropouts. Spring-type tensioners are imo a better solution as with them the chain is never too loose or tight. Very often screw-on sprockets/freewheels are not perfectly aligned with the chain line so you can see its tension varies when you spin the cranks. Now what they need to design is some clever tensioner that's well protected from impacts.
craigjames
wouldnt have thought the disc mount would be any weaker than the normal i.s. mount, would have thought they would have looked at finite element analylis reports on the design and the way the dropout would distribute the forces applied. but i guess only use will really tell how its gonna hold out. looks good though if not a lil bland.
