paul@rettotrials
Hi i have got some echo cnc cranks, on the the right side the peddle treads have been stripped out. And i have a onza muscle man crank peddle insert like this. Now i have taken them to a engineers, but they can not do it as they don't do left hand treads that big, So i was thinking to drill the treads out, that are f**ked and try to tap it myself with the insert. Or put the insert in and weld it to the cranks, but I'm not sure if it would work as I'm no engineer so any help and/advice would be grateful thanks Paul.P.S here are the cranks Edited April 3, 2007 by paul@rettotrials
RomanC
You can't weld steel to aluminum. You best bet would be to find a machinest that could helicoil the crank for you.
