ben.richardson
go for the new frame as the weld will only make the frame weaker and then crack again.

clarkytrials
why don't you get it welded if its only a crack and then start saving so you can still ride altho if you have the money straight a way then just get a new frame

Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Remember; a (metaphorical) chain is only as strong as its' weakest link. You'll be good if you can get a very decent weld on it, if not, get yo' ass to saving. moto_psycho
get it welded by somebody that can weld, should only cost a few quid, not even thatride it whilst saving for a new frame
ogre
untill it completly snaps and i smash mi headAnd thats a bad thing?your best getting a new frame asap, unless you can get it re-welded well Edited February 18, 2007 by ogre
sam D
You should'nt really weld a cracked frame as it tend to be weaker and will most likely crack on you again. So go for a new frame Cheers,Sam
moto_psycho
if the break is on one of the welds it wont make it weakerbut on the tubing it will, but not much, metal is metal, and it aint soft, get it welded, grind it down n itll ride! just make sure you go to a decent ally welder
Mike W
When i had the old style t-comp it cracked. One month and four more cracks later it still lived and that was the weakest frame known to man. just expect the worst :|
montyrider07
if the break is on one of the welds it wont make it weakerbut on the tubing it will, but not much, metal is metal, and it aint soft, get it welded, grind it down n itll ride! just make sure you go to a decent ally welderIf your frame is cracked, you get it welded. It still used to be cracked, therefore it will be weaker, my friend had his frame welded twice in the same place, then it snapped again in the same place and another area, re-welding makes frames weaker. moto_psycho
like i said, on the weld it wont matter, a weld is a weld end of story, if you get it done well it will be just as strong, but if it is on the actual frame it will be weaker no matter what
James@swanseatrials.com
dude i had the same probelm a few years back when i snapped my first frame. I welded it and 3 days later it went again! i would definately reccomend just getting a new frame dude!
