and nyess if you can sidehop already its a bit of a dumass question to be fair

get pallets and find your limit for how many you can get, then start putting thinner bits of wood under the pallets to make them higher also helps if teres someone better than you that an get more height so you actually know you can get that high and they can see what your not doing/need to do more etc. urg essay

Try to let your body lower before the jump. Watch some videos of the pros, some of them almost touch their rear tire before the jump.

kick harder with pedals, pre-load more...the advice i follow.
