Rebelistic
I've had a 2nd hand Tryall rim for a couple of weeks and it seems fine. It's done several drops and gaps & I'm trying to gap further so I'm not very smooth with the landings, but it's held up ok so far. It's better than my onld Onza full fat rim anyway, the extra width seems to make it more stable and less prone to pinch flats.Cheers
chris222pher
hi people,i personally run try-all rims but am not that hard a rider and dont do big drops. my mate is much better than me and runs echo rims, he gave his 06 one a good couple of flat spots but now has an 07 one and it seems really good, i think i would go for echo if i had to buy new rims.cheerschris
Wright Pads
Get anyhting but Echo, my 06 died in one drop from a fresh build and the drop was 2ft if that! That pic of the rim look battered by more than just the one 8ft drop to concreat. My ronnie is split, had 30+ grinds, i've cut into it, i've used the same spokes about 15 times, done lots of heavy stuff on it with low low tyre preusre and yet when i did that drop on the hoe i posted here it still lives! Tim-Hill..Yeah Mate
yes max..that rim is the 06 echo rim doesnt everyone know that they are very weak!! theres no point in saying look how s**t echo rims are heres mine... and its the 06! bet noones got any pics of an 07 echo flat??ive also ordered 07 echo rim. why would echo make another rim like the 06, the 07 looks pretty dam strong and i hear last weekend neil t was ridding with an 07 and praising it.tim. Wright Pads
Echo made many f**ked up snappy thing year are after year as it goes. The 07 rim shears a lot of the features of the 06 and thicker sidewalls is the problem 1st off!

The 07 rim shears a lot of the features of the 06 and thicker sidewalls is the problem 1st off! what! sorry but i think thats the worst load of s**t ive heard, echo are a top brand in trials and almost all echo components are solid, the only problem with the 06 echo rim was that its pretty much flat so all the pressure wasn't distrabuted through the spokes and all the presure was on the rim, also the drilled holes were far too big!... thats why its so weak.what have you got to say about monty components, most of there frames snap, there cranks snap like burnt wood!tim. Try-all rims are made from cheese so yeah its expected. Edited October 20, 2006 by Luke Drewery
chris_g
if your going to get an 07 echo then go for it there very good very strong rims..but stay away from 06 echo rims there shocking..erm im not too sure about try-all rims i had one on my mod it lasted long inuf but the braking surface was really poorchristof
Wright Pads
If you are taking into account of Echo rom 06 onwards then yeah they are right on a few thing, not everything!Do you know the past history of Echo and us using it here....by all account i don;t think you do.Echo use to be really wank parts that broke easy! The 06 rim dies due to the sidewalls being way too thick to let it have any give! Someone did a fem anaylis at OTB and many were shoclked but agreed!I don;t trust much off Deng anwyays and i trust Koxx over his now!It looks like an Echo rim and the vid i sceen of max wasn;t smoeth at all!Dave's rim did 8+ft in Bristol and it only then died but it had a battering off all to get it to the point of death. Looed exactly same as abive!
Ewannnn
Max t you must either be a harsh rider or not have enough air in your tires to do that. My brother and my mate have try-all rims and there the strongest rims theyve had out of ronnies, echo 06, echo 05Edit: This is the new fluro try-all rims so maybe theyve done something different for them but they are alot stronger Edited October 20, 2006 by Ewannnn
