Ashley Smith Posted July 7, 2008 Report Share Posted July 7, 2008 M12 X 1.00 is a metric fine or metric special thread, just found some bolts priced at £2.64 each that would be suitable, obviously they would require the diamter turning to 3/8" for the clearance, way cheaper than fun bolts. psycholist Posted July 7, 2008 Report Share Posted July 7, 2008 If they're engineering grade bolts they should have a stamping on the bolt head to indicate the strength of the bolt. 8.8 means the ultimate tensile strength is about 800 MPa (First 8) and that the tensile yield stress is 0.8 times this.
