nafan
I've got some monty's, they're ok but real thin and they rip when you're puttin 'em on, just be careful with them... :) Go for it if you're thinking of getting some... trialsmastersam
i think foam grips are quite good for riding as long as you wear gloves
smooth_rider
Mehh you dont need to wear gloves with them, there especially good in hot weather (when we get it) as they absorb sweat instead of other types of grips that leave it on the surface. Ritchey wcs are the dogs, from wiggle.
N.Wood
My Monty grips had excellent feel, but hurt my hands as they were so thin my hand had to bend more than usual. Mine didn't rip. My Soyo's are as nice though, and you don't have to worry about them ripping. Ritchy WCS's are great.

Krisboats
I used to use foam grips for a while but i found that i gripped them harder with my hand whixh resulted in me getting considerable aches in my fingers. I now use odi longneck grips, the only downside is if i'm riding gloveless the grips get all slippy and i have to put some gloves on to get a decent grip. wayn3
My mate had the Monty foam grips and they didn't last long at all, the just ripped, and i didn't like riding with them either, it felt to thin. Hope this helps. Wany3
emery
i would think they would really slippery when your hands sweat like on a scooter grips lol they are like that or different toby
JT!
The good thing about monty foam grips is that they hare really thin, so rather than reling on the grip of rubber, you actulay holding the bars. So effectivly you do get the same grip.
joshywa
they hurt if you dont use gloves ! but feel nice when you do
Ben Collins
I always get these grips from Halfords which are foam. I really like them in hot weather and unlike all of you i find it is an excuse not to wear gloves. So my hands stay cool while riding. Ash-Kennard
At the moment I am using Ritchey WCS Truegrips, (lush foam grips) and they are incredibly compfy and cheap, £7.99 from wiggle. They don't seem to wear but mine do have small cuts from loading my bike into cars, so beware they're rippiness. I feel that they are slightly to fat for trials and will next time be getting ordinary rubber grips, but I do have little hands so It's probably just me. ash.
