biketrialler 7 Posted June 4, 2004 Report Share The shifter is a random shimano 6 speed one a mate found in a box at my LBS. It does the job Very light too and out of the way. I drilled into a metal hose clamp and bolted it on through that. The rear rim is a BMF yes. I bought a 25.4mm hole saw and driver... £10ish. Attached it to the drill... 34 holes later (you don't drill out the rim join seam, or of course the valve hole!) - probably took about 30mins of drilling. Then you need to get some kind of file to the rim to get the sharp edges off. Then rim tape the wheel. I took the time to true my rim up there and then... im not sure if drilling it meant I had to true it, or if it already had wobbles. Should be nice and strong still. Quote Link to comment
biketrialler 7 Posted June 6, 2004 Report Share Onza tuf guys. Stripped, then resprayed (Powder coated) in gloss black. Its nice because it gets rid of them gash onza logos on the side that ruin the smooth curvy lines. They ride really nice on the Koxx actually... Quote Link to comment
